[News] Yoonhak says goodbye to Japanese fans during fanmeeting

Today, Supernova held their anticipated fanmeeting, the last one in Japan before leader Yoonhak's enlistment on October 25th. The meeting, which was held in Saitama Super Arena earlier today, had 20,000 fans in attending and had been sold out weeksbefore.

Maknae Geonil was sure to make the event have a good start by asking the group's fans to have fun. "Since this is the biggest arena we've ever had a fan meeting in, please enjoy it to the end".

As the event was partly a goodbye stage for its leader, Supernova performed 12 songs next to having a chat where members started asking questions as "which member do you love the most?", "why are you always later?" "Why do you only do arm workouts", leaving leader Yoonhak flustered.

Near the end of the show, Yoonhak went on a balloon ride, meeting his fans on the 2nd and 3rd floor as he requested to meet them. It was followed by video messages by all the members, after which Yoonhak himself turned to his fans and group members and read a letter he'd prepared before the show.

"To everyone here and everyone who supports Supernova as well as…
 I am, right now, really happy. Truly happy. I’m happier than everyone else on this planet. Because you’re here for me I’m able to stand on this splendid stage. Me and the members are able to grow because of your support.
The dreams I had when we were rookies as well as the things I wanted to do, during these 2 and a half short years I’ve been able to fulfill and do a lot of those thanks to your support. Lately I think a lot of you have been worried and sad, but please don’t worry!
The 6 of us will always be together. To show Milky way even better sides of ourselves we promise to work even harder from now on. Do you know? To the members I’m the leader of Supernova. But my leader is ‘all of you’!
You’re always giving me advice and supporting me… you’re truly my strength… While I’m gone please create a road for my beloved brothers to walk on. I promise to finish my military duties safely and to return as a more grown up Yoonhak.
Thank you all for coming to Supernova’s fan meeting and creating this wonderful time for us. I love you all from the bottom of my heart. I pray you’ll all stay healthy and happy (while I’m gone). Thank you all for everything and please look after me from now on as well!"

The fanmeeting ended in an emotional state with lots of tears and fans cheering on Supernova. Later the same day, Yoonhak also revealed a short letter, titled "For You", to his fans through his official Japanese blog, thanking them for the meeting they'd had before.

[News] Supernova preparing fan meeting for leader Yunhak before enlistment in Korean military

It has been recently confirmed that Supernova leader Yoonhak will be enlisting in the military.

He will officially begin his duties as an active duty soldier beginning on October 25th at 1:30pm KST. Hundreds of fans are expected to arrive in Gyungkido where he will be admitted, in order to see him off.

For the past month, Supernova has been touring Japan, performing 15 impressive shows in total, proving they are one of the hottest Hallyu stars recognized by Japanese fans. They concluded their tour with their final performance in Hukuoka.

Yunhak revealed the news of his enlistment on the 15th at Tokyo International Forum, breaking the hearts of his many fans. Upon announcing that he would not be able to perform with Supernova for the time being, fellow members and fans alike shed their tears.

The rest of the Supernova members have arranged a large fan meeting for Yunhak in order to bid him a proper farewell. The fan meet is scheduled to take place on October 16th in Saitama Super Arenaand has already sold out all 20,000 seats.

Representative Kang Chan Yi from Supernova’s agency Maru Entertainment stated, “Because he will not be able to stand on stage during the time he is serving as an active soldier, he is looking forward to spend quality time with his fans through this fan meet- sharing stories and thanking them for their support.”

Supernova will return to Korea on October 16th, and Yunhak is preparing for his enlistment spending his last days with his family, while the rest of the members will be busy promoting their music in Japan.

[News] Supernova chosen as cosmetic model

6 member male group, Supernova was chosen as model for a cosmetic brand.
Supernova's entertainment agency, Maroo Entertainment on the 6th reveals that Supernova recently signed exclusive contract with "Talent Cosmetic" for a year worth 500 million won.
It has been 4 years since they modeled for "Elite" uniform with Girl's Generation back in 2007. All cosmetics brands in Korea intending to expand their business overseas and Supernova is currently enjoys huge popularity in Japan as Hallyu Star.

[News] Supernova Announces 2 Additional Performances for "Make It" Live Tour

Additional performances for Supernova’s nationwide tour “MAKE IT LIVE TOUR 2011” which will kick-off on September 1 were decided. Two new singles were released last August 10. “Kimi Dake wa Hanasanai and “Meki ☆Love” both entered the Oricon singles chart on the release date. Tickets for the 13 performances were sold out. In response to this, they added performances in Yokohama. Two days, September 20 and 21, were added to the concert tour. It will be held in Pacifico Yokohama Convention Hall in Kanagawa. Tickets will be available on August 27. [News] Supernova to star in their second Japanese movie, 'Our After☆School'

Supernova, who debuted in Japan two years ago, have revealed that they will be starring in their second Japanese movie!

On August 13th, the six-member boy band held a second anniversary summer event at the Pacifico Yokohama National Grand Hall. The boys informed their fans that they will be starring as the lead roles in an upcoming movie titled ‘Our After☆School‘.

The boys previously starred in ‘A Love Song For You‘ as well as other dramas, so they have plenty of experience in the acting department. They’ll be playing the roles of six Korean transfer students who help a club in debt spring back alive.

Directed by Sashiki Shota, the movie will be using Supernova’s 13th Japanese single, “Meki Love“, as its theme song.

At their event, Supernova also performed “Kimidakewa Hanasanai” (a song that had placed third on the Oricon daily chart on the day of its release) in high school uniforms. Leader Yoonhak said, “I feel a bit shy wearing a school uniform in front of everyone like this. We promise to work hard towards our 10th anniversary. About 5,000 showed up at our first anniversary event, but this year, we’ve received more than three times the amount. Thank you so much. We hope that next year, the amount of fans that show up will be 30 times the number today.”

Their film will hit theaters on November 5th.

[News + Videos] Supernova talks about JYJ JaeJoong

Supernova [Cho Shin Sung], a Korean boyband, appeared on Gokigenyou (Japanese TV show) and one of the members revealed that the advice he received from Jaejoong was “if progress step by step you ought to be able to reach the top, so work hard~” He was happy to receive such advice. And even though he is older, (Jaejoong) is a big senior.

[News] Supernova to Appear on Korean Food TV Program with T-ara, KARA, FT. Island

On July 18th T-ara’s agency Core Contents Media stated, “Currently production is underway for a show titled as ‘Idol Parasitic Houseguest’ (Only a temporary name) which will have idols leading the Korean Wave introducing Korean food.” “There will be 8 idol teams in total including Kara, T-ara, Supernova, and FT Island.”
They continued by stating, “Idol Parasitic Houseguest will have the idol groups become narrators and explain about the way that certain Korean foods are made. Through different mini corners they will also explain about Korea’s culture in terms of the necessities of life, music, money, and history. We are anticipating the show as a new information entertainment program that will have idols playing a big role.”
The CEO of Core Contents Media Kim Kwang Soo will produce the show, and it is currently being planned to be spread throughout different nations.

[News] Supernova Chosen as UN Friends Activists

Japanese Idol, Supernova released their latest single and topped the Oricon music chart placing in number 2.
Supernova was appointed by United Nations to become the activists for UN Friends (Friends Of The United Nation Asia-Pacific).
Last June 14, before they had a concert in Yokohama, they were awarded as activists of United Nation’s side (Friends Of The United Nation Asia-Pacific Activist, FOUNAP Activist). This is the first time they selected someone to become an activists.
UN Friends helps restore the damages from natural disaster around the world and also to promote world peace. UN NGO representative organizations held large and small events and all proceeds are given to the victims of Earthquake.
United Nation appointed Supernova to become the representative of UN Friends. UN Friends, an NGO group, helps restore the damage caused by natural disasters and also to promote world peace. Last March, Supernova visited Iwate Prefecture and provided funds by tour to help the victims of earthquake. Leader Yoonhak said, “With our little strength, we’ll be glad to help, we will go wherever needed.”
In addition, Supernova released their 11th single Kimi ni Ai takute last June 15 and it was immediately on the 2nd spot of Oricon Daily Chart. It was on the same place until the 16th .
Supernova are now in full swing tour in Japan. June 13 and 14, they’re in Yokohama Pacific Hall, June 17 in Kobe and June 19 in Nagoya. The tickets were sold out.
Supernova were thankful, “It’s been a long time since we released a single and ranked to the second place. It’s what we achieved based on local and international support.”

[News] Choshinsei reveals two new singles in August!

Pop group Choshinsei (Supernova) will release their 11th single, “Kuriunnare -Kimi ni Aitakute-“, on June 15th, and it’s also been revealed through online shopping sites that the group will release two new singles simultaneously on August 10th.

The first is “Kimi dake wa Hanasanai“, and it’s said to be a pure medium ballad that leaves unwavering feelings for an important person.

“Kimi dake wa Hanasanaide” will come in three versions, two limited editions and a normal edition. Each edition will come with a different jacket, but contain the same tracks.

The cover for limited edition A will have Jihyuk and Geonil, and it will also include a DVD with a PV and a serial number card for an event.

Limited edition B will have Kwangsu and Sungmo on the cover and will come with another jacket randomly selected from six designs.

The regular edition will have Yunhak and Sungje on the cover.

The second single they will release is “Meki☆Love“, and the song is said to have a catchy refrain and be an “impressive” upbeat song. It will come in three editions as well, two limited and a normal edition.

Limited edition A will include a bonus DVD that includes a PV and include 2 application tickets with a serial number for an event.

Limited edition B will have an alternative jacket and 1 of 3 random sticker designs, and it will also come with two application tickets with a serial number for an event.

The normal edition will only include the two application tickets.

Shinseido has also listed some of the details on the singles’ special privileges.

Course A is Choshinsei’s “Chou☆Summer Festival Episode 2” event, and 4,000 names will be chosen at random. The event will take place on August 13th, but the date and time have yet to be determined. Winners are scheduled to be announced by mail only on August 12th.

Course B will be a digital content present from all the members!

Each course can only be applied by one serial number, and it is possible to apply for both courses, but the serial numbers (application cards) must be different. The deadline for both courses are different as well.

Both will start on August 9th at 12:00 PM, but course A will end on August 11th at 23:59 and course B will end on August 14th at 23:59.
